Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Investment Banking to lead the establishment and growth of our investment banking division within the management consulting firm. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in investment banking, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of executing complex financial transactions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively build client relationships and manage all aspects of the investment banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Setup the Division: Lead the establishment of the investment banking division from inception to operational status, including developing business strategies, operational frameworks, and service offerings.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the division’s vision and objectives while ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the consulting firm.
  • Client Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and financial advisory services.
  • Transaction Execution: Oversee the execution of M&A transactions, debt and equity offerings, and other financial services, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the investment landscape, positioning the firm as a trusted advisor in the industry.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of investment bankers and analysts to deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the investment banking division to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while maintaining high ethical standards in all transactions.

Eligibility Criteria

Job Requirements

  • Education: A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment banking or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on M&A or capital markets.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading investment banking teams and executing complex financial transactions.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically about business challenges and opportunities within the investment banking sector.
