Job Description

The CEO at MAGM Ventures is a high-level executive role responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the entire organization and its subsidiary companies. Reporting to the Chairman and the Board of Directors, the CEO is accountable for driving growth, maximizing shareholder value, and ensuring the overall success of MAGM Ventures and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and share the company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Create and execute action plans for achieving profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Identify new business prospects and promote innovation to keep ahead of the competition.
  • Provide direction and support to the CEOs of subsidiary companies, maintaining alignment with the overarching corporate objective.
  • Examine and evaluate each subsidiary’s performance, keeping an eye on key performance indicators and taking required action when necessary.
  • Encourage cooperation and knowledge exchange among subsidiary businesses to take advantage of synergies and spur growth.
  • Serve as the company’s chief spokesperson and ambassador, maintaining connections with important stakeholders like partners, investors, and government officials.
  • Interact with shareholders by giving them regular information on the business’s progress and key projects.
  • Establish and maintain connections with industry leaders in the sector to promote strategic collaborations and alliances.
  • Ensure solid financial management by closely collaborating with the finance team to monitor the financial performance of the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Examine and accept important budgetary choices, capital allocation plans, and financial judgments.
  • Keep an eye on important financial indicators, identify risks, and put effective mitigation strategies into action.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Create and uphold reliable internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Encourage a culture of ethics, integrity, and openness among all employees.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and encourage employee engagement and growth.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent across the organization.
  • Ensure that talent pipelines and succession plans are in place to support future growth.
  • Represent the company in trade shows, gatherings, and forums.
  • Keep abreast with changing regulations, new technology, and market trends.
  • Establish the company as an Employer Brand.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Chartered Accountant
  • Proven 5-7 years executive leadership experience at a senior level, preferably as a CEO or in a similar role.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving strategic growth and delivering results.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Financial literacy and a solid understanding of corporate finance principles.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and corporate governance.
